Trust & Safety at Prayer Powerline

Your prayers are sacred. Your trust is too.

Prayer requests often hold medical, relational, financial, and deeply personal details. This page explains plainly who we are, what we do with your information, and how we protect you and others on the platform.

This page is maintained by Prayer Powerline. It describes our current practices and is not a third-party certification.

If you are in crisis, please reach out now

Prayer Powerline offers spiritual support, but it is not an emergency, medical, or crisis-response service. If you are in immediate danger or considering harming yourself, please call emergency services, or call or text 988 in the United States to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. You are loved. You are not alone.

Who operates Prayer Powerline

Prayer Powerline is an independent prayer ministry stewarded by Pastor Peter Baptiste and the prayer team of the Norwalk Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 12191 Firestone Blvd, Norwalk, California 90650. The platform was built to help believers everywhere keep a living record of their prayers and join together in intercession.

For pastoral questions, partnership, or ministry concerns you can reach our team through the contact page.

Who Prayer Powerline serves

Prayer Powerline is for the whole Body of Christ. We are sponsored by a Seventh-day Adventist congregation, and we welcome believers from every Christian denomination — Adventist, Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Catholic, Orthodox, non-denominational, and beyond — to pray together in unity around the name of Jesus.

We do not require members to share our specific theological tradition. Our shared ground is Scripture and Christ.

Who can see your prayer requests

Every request you submit has a visibility setting. You choose:

  • Private: visible only to you in your personal prayer journal. No moderator, staff member, or other user can read these.
  • Shared with prayer partners: visible only to the partners you have specifically invited.
  • Community wall: visible to other signed-in members so they can pray with you. You can post anonymously, and you can delete the request at any time.

We never display your email address or contact information on the wall, even when a request is public.

How community requests are moderated

Requests posted to the community wall are reviewed by our prayer team for safety and tone. We may hide or remove content that is:

  • Abusive, harassing, hateful, or threatening to another person
  • Sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate for a mixed-age audience
  • Promotional, political, or used to solicit money
  • Identifying a third party by full name in a damaging way
  • Spam, scams, or attempts to phish other members

Repeated violations may result in suspension of the account. We aim to moderate with grace — the goal is a safe room where people can be honest with God.

When a request mentions suicide, abuse, or immediate danger

If a community post indicates that the author or someone they know may be in immediate danger — including thoughts of suicide, self-harm, ongoing abuse, or a medical emergency — our team will:

  • Reply with the crisis resources above (988 in the US, or local emergency services).
  • Where appropriate, hide the request from the public wall to protect privacy.
  • Pray for the person and, when contact information is provided, follow up compassionately through our pastoral team.

We are not licensed counselors or first responders. Prayer Powerline is a ministry of prayer, not a clinical service. Please call emergency services for any urgent threat to life.

How your data is protected

Account sign-in, profile data, and prayer content are stored in our managed backend with row-level security so that — with the exception of community-wall posts you explicitly publish — only you can read your own data. Photos you upload are served through signed, time-limited URLs.

We use the secure session storage provided by your browser. We do not sell or rent member data, ever.

We do not use prayers for marketing

Your prayer requests, journal entries, and answered-prayer testimonies are never used in advertising, promotional emails, or fundraising content. Public testimonies you choose to share on the testimonies page remain on the site only as long as you allow.

When we send email, it is limited to account messages (sign-in, password reset, ministry updates you opted in to). You can unsubscribe from optional email at any time.

How to delete your data

You are in control of everything you post:

  • Delete a single request, journal entry, or testimony from the page where it lives — the delete control sits next to each item.
  • Delete your profile photo, bio, or church information by clearing the fields and saving on the profile page.
  • Delete your entire account by emailing us through the contact page. We process account deletions within 30 days and remove your content from active systems. Backup copies cycle out shortly after.

Protecting minors

Prayer Powerline is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Members under 18 should use the platform with the awareness and permission of a parent or guardian and should not share full names, school names, addresses, or photos that could identify them on the community wall.

If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.

Reporting abuse or unsafe content

If you see content that violates the standards above, please report it through thecontact page and include the page URL and a short description. We review reports daily.
